We are thrilled to announce an exclusive SF/ East Bay Tiki show with the phenomenal Exotica-Surf band, Tikiyaki 5-0!
Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, The Tikiyaki Orchestra has been wowing audiences since 2008 with their own brand of Exotic Lounge music and unique and charismatic showmanship.
Led by main composer Jim Bacchi, Tikiyaki not only replicate the classic Exotica sounds of Martin Denny and Les Baxter, but combine it with many different musical styles….Bachelor Pad Lounge, Crime Jazz, Surf, Spaghetti Western, Latin and Hawaiian music, to broaden the musical spectrum of what is known today as “Exotica”.
Tikiyaki 5-0, is the smaller, pared down “touring” version of Tikiyaki Orchestra featuring core members …..Jim Bacchi on guitar, Brian Kassan on Keys and guitar, Jonpaul Balak on Bass, and Pablo Baza on drums. Their new EP, “The Exotic Sounds of Tikiyaki 5-0” features a breathtaking cover of Arthur Lyman’s “Taboo” as well as Les Baxter’s “Enchanted Sea”, “Song of Delilah” and some killer orginal compositions!
