We welcome back, for an intimate one on one, Hawaiian Spotlighters, aka Undertow (Exotica/Island)
Al Pabilona Jr played drums and vibes in his fathers band,
the Hawaiian Spotlighters in the 1960s. Today Al and his daughter
continue the tradition as a Hawaiian/Exotica duo called Undertow, with vibes, guitar, percussion and vocals. The Spotlighters played alongside many Exotica greats such as Les Baxter and Arthur Lyman in their decades long career and Al has lots of cool stories to share!
Undertow were the featured guest at our 11 year anniversary bash this past April and we’re super excited to have them back!
