A veteran performer Frankie “Bones” Shenave started his first band, Pony Express in 1985 with his good friend Tony Furtado, playing acoustic guitar and upright bass. Later down the road he toured with Furtado, Matt Flinner, and David Grier on a U.S/U.K tour in 1993. After a break from the music scene to finish college, he found his way back into the spotlight playing electric bass with local bands The Charlie Murphy Band and Keith Douglas & The Rhythm Critters. Finding his way back to his roots, he picked up his guitar again after 20 years venturing out as a solo artist playing his originals at the local open mics. It was at these open mics his path crossed with his future band mates: Jeff Mirocha (Bass), Mark Waterford (Acoustic Guitar), Doug Buenz (Electric Guitar) and Michael Merritt (Drums) ~ Frankie Bones & Fire Hazard was born.
